Data Accuracy

Booty Bay Broker collects auction house pricing data from the official Blizzard Battle.net API and, for certain Classic game versions, from the TradeSkillMaster (TSM) API. While we make every reasonable effort to provide accurate and up-to-date information, we cannot guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any data displayed on this site.

Auction house prices in World of Warcraft change rapidly as players list, buy, and cancel auctions. The data shown on Booty Bay Broker represents a snapshot collected at the time of the most recent API update, which typically occurs on an hourly cycle. Actual in-game prices may differ from what is displayed here due to the inherent delay between data collection and your viewing of the page.

Calculated values such as market value estimates, price trends, and crafting profit margins are derived from collected data using statistical algorithms. These calculations are estimates and should not be treated as exact figures. Market value uses a weighted median algorithm that filters outliers, but no algorithm can perfectly represent the true market price of a virtual item at any given moment.

We access the Blizzard Battle.net API under the terms of the Blizzard Developer API Terms of Use. Our use of the API does not imply any partnership, endorsement, or official relationship with Blizzard Entertainment.

Third-Party Data Sources

Booty Bay Broker relies on the following external data sources to provide its services:

  • Blizzard Battle.net API -- The primary source for Retail auction house data, item metadata (names, icons, item levels, quality), realm information, game version data, WoW Token prices, and profession recipe definitions. Data is collected under the Blizzard API Terms of Use.
  • TradeSkillMaster (TSM) API -- Used as a supplementary data source for WoW Classic game versions (MoP Classic, TBC Anniversary) where the Blizzard Auction House API does not provide complete data. TSM data includes aggregated pricing and market statistics.

We do not control these third-party services and cannot guarantee their availability, accuracy, or continuity. If a third-party API experiences downtime, changes its data format, or discontinues service, the data on Booty Bay Broker may be temporarily unavailable, incomplete, or outdated.

All game-related content displayed on this site -- including item names, item icons, profession names, realm names, and faction names -- is the intellectual property of Blizzard Entertainment.

Booty Bay Broker uses this content under the principle of fair use for the purpose of providing a community tool that helps players engage with the World of Warcraft economy. Item icons and names are retrieved through the official Blizzard API and are displayed to help users identify items. We do not claim ownership of any Blizzard intellectual property.
