Miscellaneous

The miscellaneous class is where the catalog keeps its most eclectic markets: auction-house mounts, companion pets, holiday items, and thousands of oddities that fit no other taxonomy — including some of the most expensive single listings in the game.

The headline subclass here is mounts. Auction-house mounts — crafted vehicles, rare world drops, and trading-post imports — routinely carry the highest single-item prices on any realm, and their charts move like collectibles rather than commodities: long flat stretches, then a step change when supply appears or a source is retired. The game's own rarity tiers do the pricing: crafted mounts from engineering and alchemy hold floors set by their material bills, drop mounts float on luck-based scarcity, and retired sources turn every surviving copy into a pure collectible. Companion pets trade nearly as actively, seeded by drops, achievements, and breeding through the pet-battle system — and the same creature can appear here as an uncaged item and in the battle-pet class as a cage, so the two charts are worth cross-checking before acting on either.

Holiday items give this class the most seasonal charts in the whole catalog. Wands, costumes, and event materials surge for the few weeks their holiday runs, then sit dormant for a year — a one-year chart view shows the annual pulse cleanly, and explains prices that would look broken on a one-week view.

The junk and other subclasses are the deep tail: vendor-trash grays, quest leftovers, and curiosities. Most of it trades near vendor price, but a handful of gray-quality pieces carry genuine collector premiums for their appearance alone — the chart is the only way to tell a true collectible from an optimistically priced leftover.

Because so much of this class trades on rarity rather than utility, listing depth matters as much as price. The detail page for each item shows total quantity listed alongside the price history, so you can see whether a striking price represents a market or a single hopeful seller. The "Browse subcategories" links below separate mounts, companion pets, holiday items, and the junk tail into their own tables.
