Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Booty Bay Broker. By creating an account or using this service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Booty Bay Broker ("the Service"), creating an account, or clicking "I agree" during registration, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Booty Bay Broker ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the website, services, and all related tools provided at bootybaybroker.com.
These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and anyone who accesses or uses the Service in any way, including browsing Auction House price data without creating an account. Certain features of the Service -- such as price alerts, favorites, and custom dashboards -- require account registration and are subject to additional terms outlined in Section 3 below.
We may update these Terms from time to time as described in Section 12. If you continue to use the Service after changes to the Terms have been posted, you are accepting the updated Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically for any changes.

Data Sources
The Service sources its data from the official Blizzard Battle.net Game Data API for WoW Retail, and from TradeSkillMaster (TSM) exclusively for Classic game versions. Retail data is collected hourly; TBC Anniversary data is collected hourly via TSM; MoP Classic data is collected weekly via TSM. All data is processed through statistical aggregation pipelines before display. For a full explanation of data sources and their limitations, see our Disclaimer.
Service Availability and Cost
The Service is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice. We are not obligated to maintain, support, or update the Service indefinitely. We may introduce premium features in the future, but any currently free features will remain free unless otherwise communicated with advance notice.
Advertising
The Service is supported by advertising through Google AdSense. Advertisements displayed on the Service are provided by third-party advertising networks. Your use of the Service constitutes acknowledgment that ads will be displayed. For details on how advertising cookies work and how to opt out of personalized ads, see our Privacy Policy.
Account Registration
Certain features of the Service require you to create an account. When registering, you agree to the following:
- Accurate Information -- You must provide a valid email address, create a username, and set a secure password. You agree that the information you provide during registration is truthful and accurate.
- One Account Per Person -- Each individual may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, inflate usage, or for any other purpose is prohibited.

- Harmful Content -- Uploading, transmitting, or distributing any content that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable through any user-facing feature of the Service.
Violation of these conduct rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination, at our sole discretion.
Data Collection and Privacy
What We Collect
When you use the Service, we collect the following information:
- Email Address -- Required for account creation, password recovery, and important service communications.
- Username -- A publicly visible display name you choose during registration.
- Password -- Hashed using bcrypt (never stored in plaintext). Your password cannot be recovered or viewed by anyone, including our administrators.

How We Protect Your Data
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt, an adaptive one-way hashing algorithm designed to resist brute-force attacks.
- All data is stored in encrypted databases with strict access controls. Only essential personnel have access to production systems.
- All connections to the Service use HTTPS/TLS encryption to protect data in transit.
What We Do NOT Do
- We do not sell your personal information. We work with third-party advertising partners (such as Google AdSense) who may use cookies and similar technologies to serve relevant ads. See our Privacy Policy for details.
- We use essential cookies for session management (keeping you logged in). Third-party services such as Google AdSense and Cloudflare Web Analytics may set additional cookies. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings or opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com.
- We do not share your email address with advertisers or external marketing services. Your email is used solely for account operations and Service-related communications.
For complete details on how we handle your data, including cookie usage and third-party services, please review our Privacy Policy.
Anonymized Analytics
We collect anonymized, aggregated analytics to understand how the Service is used and to identify areas for improvement. This data does not personally identify you and cannot be traced back to your account.

Data Accuracy and Timeliness
We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate and up-to-date Auction House data, but we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any price data, statistics, or analytics displayed on the Service. Data may be delayed by up to one hour due to API refresh intervals, may be incomplete for realms with low activity, or may be temporarily unavailable during data collection cycles or third-party API outages. For a detailed explanation of data accuracy factors, see our Disclaimer.
Not Financial or Investment Advice
Price data and analytics are provided for informational purposes only, as detailed in our Disclaimer.
Service Availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, database migrations, infrastructure upgrades, server issues, or circumstances beyond our control. No Service Level Agreement (SLA) is offered.
Third-Party Dependencies
The Service relies on third-party APIs and services (including the Blizzard Battle.net API, TradeSkillMaster, Google AdSense, and Cloudflare) that may change, become unavailable, or impose limitations at any time without notice. We are not liable for disruptions, data gaps, or service degradation caused by third-party service changes, outages, or deprecations.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we and our operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or virtual assets (including in-game gold and items) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which damages are sought, including contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other basis.

Governing Law
These Terms of Service and any disputes arising out of or relating to them or the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving the original intent.
