The modern crafting system put this shelf on the auction house. Every trade gained a loadout of one tool plus accessories, and tool quality feeds crafting stats directly, so two hammers at the same item level can price apart on quality alone. Fishing poles are the oldest residents, trading long before the loadout existed.

Gathering gear prices on time saved instead: a better pick or sickle speeds up farming rather than improving the goods. Crafted tools consume trade goods, so ore and leather prices flow into finished-tool floors with a visible lag.

This is one of the smallest classes by item count, and many tools sell only a handful of copies on smaller realms, so a low price with no depth behind it is not a market price.
