World of Warcraft: Forever uses the same modern auction house Retail does. Nothing public publishes its auction data yet, so every Forever price on this site was uploaded by a player running our free companion.
Forever is a separate edition and it keeps a separate market here — nothing from TBC Classic or Season of Discovery is mixed into a Forever price.

Forever is built on the original Azeroth with new zones, quests, dungeons, raids and the Skyborne Elves, and a level cap of 60. It runs alongside Retail and the Classic editions, and replaces neither.

Beta
The beta caps characters at level 30. Every Forever price on this site right now came out of a beta client, which is the reason the coverage below can legitimately read zero.
Global launch
Forever opens to everyone on the standard World of Warcraft subscription. No separate purchase has been announced.

Where Forever prices come from
Blizzard’s public API publishes no Forever auction data, and TSM has no Forever region. So there is exactly one path: a player runs the free Booty Bay Broker companion, the in-game addon it installs reads the whole auction house while they are logged in, the desktop helper uploads that scan, and we store it as the Forever price source.
Nothing is scraped and nothing is modelled. If nobody scanned a ruleset today, that ruleset has no price for today and the tool says so instead of showing yesterday’s number as though it were current. Updated as beta players scan.

What the game reports where a realm name would be
Forever is realmless: a character belongs to a ruleset, and the client hands us that ruleset in the field a realm name normally occupies. We store it exactly as reported, so a Forever price is always a price on one ruleset.

The two factions stay separate in Forever, so their prices are separate rows here. A Forever item page shows you one faction at a time, never a blended figure.
What does a ruleset mean for a price?
Forever has no realms. You pick a ruleset — Normal, PvP or Roleplaying, with Hardcore arriving after launch — and Blizzard describes each one as functioning “more like its own large ecosystem than a single traditional realm”. There is no grouping across rulesets, so we never average a price across them: a Forever price is always the price on the ruleset it was scanned on.
Do Horde and Alliance share one market?
No. The factions stay separate, so the same item can carry two unrelated prices at the same moment and we keep them apart everywhere — in the scan, in the database row and on the page.
Is this the same auction house Retail uses?
Yes — Forever runs the modern auction house, the same system Retail does. If you have read our auction house guide, the mechanics carry over unchanged; what is different is the key the prices hang on.
Will Forever have a WoW Token?
Blizzard has said there are no plans for a WoW Token in Forever. Our WoW Token page stays Retail-only, and no Forever page will show a token price unless that changes.

What changes when Forever launches
Blizzard has said beta progress and gold reset before launch, so the beta economy is a short market of its own rather than a preview of launch prices. We keep tracking straight through the reset: beta scans stay filed as beta data, and the launch market starts its own price history on day one. Nothing you upload during the beta is thrown away — it is labelled for what it was.
