Miscellaneous

The miscellaneous class is where the catalog keeps its most eclectic markets: auction-house mounts, companion pets, holiday items, and thousands of oddities that fit no other taxonomy — including some of the most expensive single listings in the game.

About Miscellaneous

Mounts are the headline here. Auction-house mounts, from crafted vehicles to rare world drops, routinely carry the highest single-item prices on a realm, and they trade like collectibles: long flat stretches, then a step when supply appears or a source is retired.

Mount sources, companion pets, and holiday and junk items, 3 paragraphs

The game's own sources set mount prices. Crafted mounts from engineering and alchemy hold floors set by their material bills, drop mounts float on luck-based scarcity, and a retired source turns every surviving copy into a pure collectible.

Companion pets trade nearly as actively, supplied by drops, achievements, and wild pets caught and caged through the pet-battle system. The same creature can appear here as an uncaged item and in the battle-pet class as a cage, so one pet can carry two prices at once.

Holiday items give this class its most seasonal prices: wands, costumes, and event materials surge for the few weeks their holiday runs, then sit dormant for a year. The junk and other subclasses are the deep tail, where most items trade near vendor price but a few gray pieces carry collector premiums for their appearance.
