Item Enhancements

Item enhancements are the consumable layer of the gear economy: enchants and slot upgrades that players apply to weapons, rings, cloaks, chests, and boots. Every gear upgrade a character earns creates fresh demand here.

The catalog organizes enhancements by the slot they apply to — weapon enchants lead the shelf, followed by finger, wrist, leg, cloak, chest, shoulder, feet, and hand enhancements, with shield and off-hand treatments rounding out the list. Each entry shows the enhancement's name, item level, required level, and quality tier.

Weapon enchants are the premium end of the market. They are effectively mandatory for endgame play and reapplied with every weapon upgrade, so demand renews continuously in a way most markets only see at patch boundaries. Armor-slot enhancements ride the same renewal cycle at lower intensity — every fresh piece of gear in a slot is another sale for that slot's enchant.

Because nearly everything here is produced by enchanters from disenchanted materials, the enhancement market runs one step downstream of the gear market itself: when players replace gear faster, disenchanting supplies more material and enchant prices soften; when gearing slows between tiers, material supply tightens and enchant floors rise. The history charts show that rhythm tier by tier. Enchants reached the auction house through vellums — scrolls an enchanter casts onto and posts like any other item — and the scroll remains the unit of trade, so a posted enchant always competes with the trade-chat service version of itself and rarely strays far above materials plus a convenience premium. Editions from before the vellum era keep enchanting a service trade, which is why their shelf here is thinner.

Enhancement demand also splits by edition — classic editions lean on classic enchanting formulas while Retail cycles through each expansion's own system — and the edition selector on each item's price-history page keeps those markets separate.
